It's a Wrap!

So following on from my previous post showing off a selection of gift tags, over the next few days and weeks, I'll be showing you different ways to gift wrap your Christmas presents, in various ways.

Today's gift, has been made using one of my favourite new framelit bundles - the new Square Pillow Box Thinlets die.  It has 8 different dies in the set, which make producing different styles of box, a doddle!  Believe me, if I can do it - you can!  This set isn't just for Christmas though, it has dies to suit all occasions, so will last you a lifetime - at only £30 for the set, this really is a bargain!  Think Wedding Favours, Childrens Party Gift boxes, Birthday presents, Easter ... the list is endless!

I have used Real Red card stock and underneath the cut out christmas trees, I have used Mellow Moss card stock.  For the tag, I used the A Little Something stamp set.  I added real red ribbon, pom pom trim and a touch of silver twine.  I finished the tag off with one of the cute snowflake embellishments called Winter Wonderland.

The stamp set used and the Square Pillow Box framelit set, can be bought as a bundle.

If you would like to purchase any of the above, please either click on the links below, or email me at carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Tomorrow, I'll be showing you a selection of cards made using the Wonderland stamp set - so don't forget to pop back!

Tag! You're It!

It's one of those things that we can never find when we want one ...

How many times have we made a beautiful card, and bought a stunning gift, wrapped it and then discovered that we haven't got a tag to match?  Well it happens to me all the time, so this year I decided that I wasn't going to be caught out.

The tags below have all been made using the fantastic Home for Christmas designer papers.  I love the fact that the papers are not only bright and vibrant, and that they are double sided, but more than anything, I love the fact that I can 'fussy cut' most of the papers, and have cheap, affordable 'toppers'. As well as buying the papers, I bought the matching Home for Christmas cardstock pack, which simplifief the whole process of having to match cardstock to the papers.  All I needed to add was scraps of ribbon and twine - job done!

I've also added some of the cards that I initially made.

As you can see, matching the cards and tags has been a pretty simple process, and I've not had to add a great deal more.

Good to be back!

Hi everyone!   Sorry for the delay in getting back to my blogging, but my ear operation was a lot larger than expected, and the recovery time is still ongoing.  However, I can at least now put my glasses on for a short period of time, and see things!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my team for supporting me and helping me run my business while I've been incapacitated, and also a HUGE thank you to friends and customers for all the cards, flowers, gifts etc.,  During some extremely 'down' moments, your loving thoughts have really helped me get through some painful times.

Anyway, I'm back on track now ....  Below are a selection of cards and tags that I have made using the fabulous Home for Christmas designer series papers, together with a hostess stamp set called Antique Tags.  I've used a mixture of different ribbons and punches to embellish the projects, and also the amazing Woodland Textured embossing folder.

I think the cards and tags are pretty easy to follow just by looking at them, and I really just need to add that the 'bambi's' have been fussy cut from the designer paper, and the tags have been made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.   To add to the effect of the 'trees', after embossing, I rubbed the inkpad gently over the raised image.

CUSTOMER HIGHLIGHT

Once a month, I am going to highlight some of the amazing projects that my customers have made. Today, I am going to show you a couple of projects by Ian Wharton, and also Debbie Burt.

Ian

Isn't this peacock stunning?  Ian hand-coloured the peacock, and then fussy cut the image out.  I think his use of glitter card behind the peacock, really makes it stand out.

Ian has used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and matching framelits for the card below.  He has used distressing techniques on the background, and has highlighted the card using spritzers.

Debbie

I just love the colours that Debbie has used in this folding box card.  Debbie has used the pansy punch and pansy stamp set on this card, and has used a mixture of pastel inkpads to create this beautiful project.

For this beautiful card gift set and matching bag, Debbie has used designer series papers, and the Petite petals stamp set.  She has coloured in pearls for the centres using the retired blendabilities pens.

ROUNDING UP

STAMPERS GROUP: I have three places left for a Stampers Group starting in November. A stampers group is a great way to help you spread the cost of buying stash.  You commit to spending £15 per month (plus postage) for 10 months, and during one of those months, you receive the hostess benefits - anything from £15 upwards to spend on whatever you would like.  Orders and payments are due by the 14th/15th of each month.
