Congratulations and Challenging Changes Ahead!

Sorry for the absence of posts (that's if anyone is still following me)! I've had such a busy month this month and it doesn't look like its calming down any time soon.

Firstly, I had the Croydon 2 Day Sizzling Summer Crop down South. What a fabulous weekend it was. The accommodation we stayed in was a Girl Guide Headquarters - and we all slept in bunk beds ! It was hilarious ! The place itself is situated in a beautiful conservation area, and the Brownies and Guides have set up a badger home, bird houses, mole mounds .. oh allsorts, and the area attracts all sorts of animals and insects - its stunning ! Although we went on a badger watch, we sadly didn't get to see any, although we did spot a beautiful young fox, and lots of really unusual birds.

The weekend itself was a huge success, and I'd like to thank Jane Bryan, Debra Li and Brenda Miles for helping me with the organisation and cooking over the weekend. Secondly, thanks also to all the attendees, without whom, it would have been ... well ......... boring ! ha ha ha !

The first photo is the nature reserve, and the second photograph is a selection of the attendees playing the 'Getting to Know You' game!

As I say, a great weekend, and one I won't forget in a long time <3  thank you all, and well done to everyone for 'earning' their Brownie Craft Badge, a medal and a Certificate for achieving the weekend challenges !

Did I tell you about the forthcoming AUTUMN/WINTER catty ?  I'm sure I did ... well I have been playing with some of the NEW products - whoop whoop - are you gonna luuuurv this catty <3  Seriously, it is one of the best we've ever had !   Here's a few sneaky peaks from you - but you can start ordering from the catalogue on the 28th August !

Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet die

Wondrous Wreath Stamp & Framelit Set
The first sample is a beautiful favor box made from a NEW framelit set that is in the catalogue. I made the box and the tag using Sky Blue cardstock, and then punched a 7/8" scallop from silver glitter cardstock, and then a Island Indigo 3/4" circle and mounted them on top of the new lace in the main catalogue.  I tied the tag using the silver bakers twine, which is fast becoming a favourite !  Isn't it cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

The second photograph is using a beautiful new stamp and framelit set called Wondrous Wreath.  The stamp set has sentiments as well as two-step stamping, and is a firm favourite with lots of demonstrators.  The Joy is cut out from one of the sentiments from the framelit set - isn't it fab !!!!  I kept the card plain in order to show off the new products, but the inside does have a greeting - I promise !

If you haven't ordered an Autumn/Winter catalogue from me - then why not !  Email me at carole.bryson@gmail.com to ensure you get a copy !

Challenging Changes Ahead

My lovely Son & Heir has done remarkably well in his 'A' levels, and I am beyond proud of him.  He has earned himself a place at Brighton University studying International Business with a language of his choice - sadly not Japanese, which is what he wanted, but he's thinking about adding on French.

I am not ready yet to lose my wonderful Son, but I know that he is ready to spread his wings and fly, and as an advocate of living ones dreams, I grudgingly have to let him loose.  I don't think I've cried so much in my life the last few days, and I'm sure that when we eventually 'drop him off' ... there will be more to come.

Sadly though, we are struggling to find accommodation in Brighton.  There are not enough rooms in the Halls of Residence for all the students, and he's having to find private rented accommodation - so if anyone knows anyone, then please send them my way.  We've coming down to Brighton the weekend of the 28th/29th/30th August to try and sort it out - so please keep us in your prayers and thoughts, that we find something !

Here's someone else who is definitely going to miss him !

I just wanted to make you all aware, that there might be a slight delay in any email replies or responses over the next couple of weeks.  I'll still have access to everything, but I don't want you to think that I'm ignoring you if you don't get the normal speedy response from me.
